Delhi, August 27: With just 37 days left for the Commonwealth Games, portions of two more roads caved in on Friday morning in south Delhi, leading to traffic diversions in the area.
A portion of the road caved in between IIT and AIIMS while another stretch between MCD office and Petrol Pump in Yusuf Sarai also caved in.
“Vehicular movement has been restricted from IIT towards AIIMS as the road caved in. People were advised to take Africa Avenue Marg or August Kranti Marg to reach Ring Road,” a senior police official said.
Traffic was also diverted on Aurbindo Marg towards Green Park market.
Earlier, a road on Nyaya Marg, that houses several embassies, caved in on Tuesday, developing a four feet deep dip.
Due to rains, on August 18, portions of two roads in Lutyens Delhi caved in, affecting traffic in the area.
