Two road accidents in south Delhi area disrupts traffic

New Delhi, January 17: Two road accidents today disrupted the traffic for several hours in South Delhi area of the capital.

Though no one was injured in the accidents, they affected the traffic flow to a large extent. Police said the accidents could have been caused by dense fog in the morning as the normal visibility was poor.

The first accident took place in RK Puram area where a loaded truck overturned after it rammed into the road divider around 2.45 am near Hotel Hyatt.

The truck was coming from Azadpur Mandi and was going towards Mathura road.

“There was thick fog in the morning and this could be the possible reason behind the accident. After colliding with the divider, the truck turned turtle, which caused traffic jam on the road,” a police official said. No one was injured in the accident.

The second accident occurred around 10.
