Dehradun, March 08: Two more policemen, chargesheeted in connection with the Ranbir encounter case, were today granted bail by a CBI court here.
Mohan Singh Rana and Manoj Malik, who were chargesheeted for tempering with government documents related with the case, were granted bail by Special CBI Magistrate Anuradha Garg, lawyer of the accused J D Jain said.
The two were among the four police personnel who were accused of tempering with evidences. The other two — Indrabhan Singh and Jaspal Singh Gosain — have already been granted bail on Feberuary 1.
A total of 18 police personnel have been chargesheeted in the case which rocked Uttarakhand.
22-year-old Ranbir, an MBA student from Ghaziabad, was killed allegedly in a fake encounter by police on July three last year.
