Two policemen among nine robbed in Rajasthan

Nine persons, including two policemen were allegedly robbed by armed miscreants in the district while returning from Uttar Pradesh after recovering two girls who had gone missing, police said today.

The incident occurred in the wee hours yesterday near Hantra village where 7-8 robbers stopped the vehicle of the victims and robbed them of their valuables. They tied their hands before leaving the place, they said.

Head constable Raghunath and constable Chetan from Raniwada police station of Jalore district were on their way to Jalore from Aligarh with two girls Panku and Divya, who were recovered from UP, along with the girls’ relatives when they were robbed of some cash, mobile phones and other belongings,?police said.

A case has been registered with Nadbai police station and the matter is being investigated, they added.
