Dehra Dun, Jun 06: Two police constables were today suspended for allegedly molesting a woman here, police said.
Pravin Kumar and Sudhir Chandra, both of whom were posted in the police lines, were suspended after a preliminary inquiry found them guilty of molesting a woman at Kargi Chowk, they said.
The incident took place yesterday when the two constables who were drunk stopped a couple riding a motorcycle and asked them to show the vehicle’s papers.
They then molested the woman and thrashed her husband when he objected.
However, the couple informed the higher police officials who ordered a departmental inquiry.
