Two poachers arrested in Dudhwa

Lakhimpur, May 10: Two poachers have been arrested for allegedly hunting a spotted deer in Dudhwa National park, a senior forest department official said here today.

Ram Sagar and Mohan were arrested last evening while they were collecting flesh, skin and other parts of the two deer in Gulra block of south Sonaripur range, deputy director of the Reserve Sanjay Kumar Pathak said.

Their accomplices managed to flee.

“Patrolling in the park is being intensified in the wake of poaching incident,” he said.
