Two persons land in jail for letting out bovines free on road

Vadodara: For the first time, two persons landed in jail for three months for letting out their bovines free on the road. This sentence was pronounced by a court of Additional Sessions Judge M.K. Chauhan.

According to the report published in Times of India, the convicts are identified as Alpesh Rabari and Hitesh Rabari.

They were also asked to deposit a fine of Rs. 5000 each.

It may be mentioned that the case was registered against them at Manjalpur Police Station in the month of July 2017 after Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) had noticed 25-30 cows standing at the middle of the road.

During the hearing in the court, Assistant government pleader, Smruti Trivedi said that the animals were posing risk to the lives of commuters.

After listening to the witnesses, the judge pronounced the judgment.
