A B. Tech student committed suicide allegedly after he was detained by his college for long absence.
According to Uppal police, the deceased, K.B. Prashant, 22, was studying 2nd year B.Tech from a private college. He was not going to college on regular basis due to ill-health which led to his detention from the college. Upset over this, he resorted to the extreme step by hanging to the ceiling at his residence in Naurangguda in Ramanthapur on Sunday night.
In another case, Y. Sangeetha, 33, committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling at her residence in Aushapur on Sunday night. According to Ghatkesar police, Sangeetha took the extreme step while she was alone at her house. Her husband Sudarshan Reddy, who had went out to attend a function, found her hanging to the ceiling after he returned home. Further investigations are on. (INN)
