A 52-year-old woman committed suicide allegedly due to ill-health.
The deceased, V. Butchamma, resorted to the extreme step by setting herself ablaze at her residence in Manikeshwar Nagar in OU Campus on Sunday night. She was immediately rushed to Gandhi Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.
In another case, G. Bhikshapati, 50, of Talabasti, committed suicide by consuming some unknown poison on Sunday night. According to Malkajgiri police, Bhikshapati was upset since his wife left him following some domestic disputes and the same is suspected to have driven him to suicide. (INN)
