Two persons, including a Nigerian national, were arrested in the past 24 hours in Goa for possessing drugs, police said Wednesday.
Nigerian national Lawrence Ofum, 25, was arrested at Arambol beach, a popular rave party destination 60 kms north of the capital for possession of hashish, while Deewan Chand, 22, from Kullu district in Himachal Pradesh was arrested at Patnem beach, 90 kms south of Panaji with almost Rs.1 lakh worth of hashish.
The two accused, arrested in separate raids, have been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances act, police said.
