Kokrajhar, June 01: Two NDFB militants were killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam’s Kokrajhar district this morning, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the police and Army had launched an operation in Alangi area of the district last night.
The militants were spotted this morning following which an encounter lasted for nearly an hour, killing militants, they said.
Two pistols, four live rounds of ammunitions, two empty cartridges, two bicycles and a bag with documents were recovered from the possession of the slain militants, sources said.
