Hyderabad: Two fresh cases of swine flu have been reported in Telangana during last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.
The authorities tested 19 samples on Friday and two out of them were found positive for H1N1 virus. No deaths were reported on Friday.
According to a bulletin issued by the department of health, 114 people have tested positive since August 1. Swine flu has so far claimed four lives in the state.
The authorities have so far tested 684 samples of H1N1 virus.
Officials said sufficient stocks of medicine was available at all teaching, district and area hospitals. Enough testing kits are also available. Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) in Hyderabad is also providing free testing services to all in patients from private hospitals.
Citizens have been advised to take precautions such as reporting to the hospital on the first symptoms of swine flu like high fever, sneezing, cough and body pain. They have also been advised to avoid going to crowded places, clean their hands as frequently as possible, avoid hand shaking and cover nose/mouth while sneezing and cough.
