Two more persons, allegedly involved in the gangrape of a 17-year-old Dalit girl, were today arrested, taking the total number of those arrested in the case to nine, police said today.
The girl, who was rescued by a NGO for women, has alleged that more than ten persons repeatedly raped her for about ten days since December 19.
The arrested were being interrogated, police said.
They had brought the girl from Magge village in Alur taluk to Hassan promising her a job and allegedly sexually assaulted her.
The ten reportedly raped the girl in turns at various places in the district, before dumping her in Hassan on
Thursday, sources said.
