Two more police control rooms in addition to the existing six would be opened in Rajahmundry city for effective policing shortly.
The Rajahmundry Urban Superintendent of Police T Ravi Kumara Murty said that 200 more police constables would be joining the urban police strengthening the police net work to ensure effective maintenance of law and order.
Addressing the Independence Day Parade function after unfurling the national flag at the Armed Reserve Police Grounds at Rajahmundry today, he said the ‘Jana Mythri programme, being implemented< started yielding good results in achieving rapport between the police and the public. He claimed that night patrolling under the supervision of a deputy superintendent of police had helped in bringing down the crime rate in the urban Police District jurisdiction. UNI
