Kanpur, October 20: Two more persons were arrested today in connection with the murder of a school teacher in Ghatampur area, police said.
Pankaj Singh, who was a teacher at a government institution and owned several private schools, was killed allegedly on the behest of his two partners who were arrested today, DIG Prem Prakash said.
Pankaj was on his way to a temple in village Patara when two motorcycle-borne persons shot at him. He succumbed on way to hospital.
The DIG said his partners Laxmi Narayan Shukla and Awadh Naresh Singh had allegedly given the contact for the teacher’s murder.
During interrogation, the duo revealed that they decided to eliminate Singh as he would deny them their share of profit generated by their joint venture — a degree college, he claimed.
