Two more farmers commit suicide in MP

Bhopal: Two more farmers took their own lives in Madhya Pradesh after poor rains and drought hit their crops badly.
Farmer Ram Prasad, 50, a resident of Dilwar village in Raysen district, hanged himself to death from a tree. He was under a debt of Rs.2 lakh, according to police.
Another farmer, Nepal Lodhi, 30, in Guna district’s Garkheda village, drank poison after his crops were hit by the adverse weather. Villagers say he consumed pesticide following which he was hospitalised where he breathed his last.
Officials told IANS that the reasons behind the farmers’ suicides would be ascertained after their post-mortem examination.
