Dehra Dun, May 13: Two more policemen have been arrested in connection with the Ghaziabad youth’s alleged fake encounter case in which 18 cops were charge-sheeted by the CBI.
With the arrest of two constables yesterday, all the accused in the encounter case of MBA graduate Ranbir Singh have been taken into custody, sources said.
Constables Saurab Nautiyal and Vikas Balooni surrendered before Special CBI Magistrate Anuradha Garg, who dismissed their anticipatory bail applications and sent them in 14-day judicial remand.
They were charge-sheeted by the investigating agency for destroying evidences in the alleged fake encounter death of Singh on July 3, 2009.
The 22-year-old from Ghaziabad was allegedly shot dead from a close range during the visit of President Pratibha Patil.
