As anticipated, two former ministers of Congress of Krishna district today joined Telugu Desam Party.
Peeved over State bifurcation decision taken by the Congress, former ministers Mandali Buddha Prasad and Pinnamaneni Venkateshwara Rao joined the TDP in the presence of Chandrababu Naidu.
“People are angry with the Congress due to its decision to bifurcate the State and we have taken a decision to join the TDP as we have confidence in the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu”, they said.
Meanwhile, Gudivada Urban Bank chairman Purnaveeraiah also joined the TDP. The regional party would get further strengthened with Pinnamaneni and Buddha Prasad joining the party, Naidu said and reiterated that he would transform the Seemandhra as Swarnandhra. There was a need to concentrate on development, he added.
The former chief minister hoped that his party would come back to power after general elections. He urged the people to think twice before exercising their franchise. (NSS)
