Gurgaon, April 04: Gurgaon police today arrested Raghuraj Puri, father of Shivraj Puri, the prime accused in Rs 400-crore Citibank scam, a senior police official said.
Raghuraj was absconding since the police had lodged an FIR in the case and the Punjab and Haryana High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea, S S Deswal Commissioner of Police said.
Raghuraj was running a brokerage company Norman Martin and a transaction of more than Rs 10 crore was found to have taken place between the company and Shivraj Puri’s account, Deswal said.
One more person, Rajender, who was working in the same company, was also arrested today.
Shivraj Puri, along with co-accused Sanjay Gupta and Gaurav Jain, is in judicial custody in Bhondsai jail
