Two more arrested in Carlton tower fire case

Bangalore, March 03: Two more persons were arrested in connection with the fire at Carlton Towers complex taking the total number of persons in custody to six, police said today.

“Shyam Kedari, former secretary of Carlton Towers Building Association and Deepak Kapahi, former treasurer of the association were arrested last night,” Assistant Commissioner of Police (Ulsoor Division) G B Manjunath, who is heading the probe in the incident, told PTI.

The two were produced before the 10th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM) court which remanded them to judicial custody till tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Rafiq-ur-Rehman, owner and secretary of the building, who was in police custody till today, was produced before the same court and remanded to judicial custody till March 15.

Rehman was arrested along with three others on February 27.
