Two mobile phone stores damaged in fire

New Delhi, March 21: Two mobile phone shops were damaged in a fire in south Delhi, police said Monday. The shop owners claimed their establishments were torched by miscreants who looted them but police refused to confirm this.

“Both the shops are in block A of Chittaranjan Park,” said a police officer.

The incidents were detected around 7 a.m. One of the two shops selling BlackBerry mobile phones was completely gutted while the other, Spice Hotspot shop, was damaged partially, said police.

The owners claimed that the shops were set ablaze by miscreants who looted the goods while police claimed it was an accident.

“The forensic team took the samples from the spots and we are investigating into the matter,” said the officer.
