Two MIM groups clashed over distribution of tickets in Aurangabad Municipal Corporation elections. According to sources Amjad Chachu who was the contender of Ward no 57 Sanjay Nagar did not get MIM ticket while the same was given to Samina Shaikh Ilyas.
Alleging irregularities in distribution of party tickets Amjad Chachu and his supporters reportedly made attack on Samina Shaikh, Dr. Ghaffar Quadri, Javeed Quraishi and others near their office. The incident sparked tension at Sanjay Nagar area located under Jinsipura police station limits.
3 persons are said to be injured in the incident. It is said that both groups indulged in stone pelting as a result 3 costly vehicles were damaged.
