Srinagar: An encounter started in the early morning today between security forces and militants at the Yadipora area of Pattan, Baramulla.
Earlier a joint team of Police, Army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the Yadipora area of Pattan, Baramulla, as the forces encircled the suspected spot, where militants fired upon them, thereby triggering a shootout in the area.
So far two militants were killed while an Army Major and a police cop received injuries. The operation is still underway.
