Two persons were brutally murdered in Chinnayana Cheruvupalli village under Madanapalle rural mandal of Chittoor district on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Sudhakar Reddy, 40, and Lakshmi Narayana 28.
Police said that one Rama Krishna Reddy had a land dispute with Sudhakar Reddy of the same village. In this context, Rama Krishna Reddy lodged a complaint with the police about a possible attack on him by his rivals. Fearing that the police might take them into custody, Sudhakar Reddy and Lakshmi Naryana slept in their agriculture farm. Meanwhile, on the night of Saturday, some unidentified persons attacked them with sickles and hacked them to death.
The police have registered a case and taken up investigating.
