Two lynched in Buxar, Nawada districts

Bihar, July 01: Two persons were lynched, while another was severely thrashed in twin incidents in Bihar’s Buxar and Nawada districts, police said.

Neur Musahar was killed while Bagedu Musahar seriously injured at Itadhi, in Buxar district today as villagers beat them up following alleged recovery of some stolen articles from the residence of one Shivmuni Mahto.

The mob got hold of Bagedu Musahar, Neur Musahar, Rajendra Musahar and Surendra Musahar, all hailing from Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh and presently residing at their in-laws house at Itadhi.

As the four were found to be distributing the stolen items among themselves, the villagers came close to them, police said.

While Rajendra and Surendra managed to escape, Neur and Bagedu were subjected to thrashing.

In another incident last night, one person, suspected to be a childlifter, was lynched by villagers near Roh bazaar in Bihar’s Nawada district, police said.

Sanjay Singh (40), a resident of Roh, was thrashed by a mob who suspected him to be a childlifter.

Sanjay was later rescued by the police but succumbed at a nearby hospital.
