Two persons died on the spot and two others injured grievously in the early hours when a lorry ran over them while they were asleep.
According to the information, Krishna and his sons Suresh and Srinivas of Rajahmundry migrated to Miyapur on the city outskirts and set up a nursery and selling saplings for livelihood. One Adibabu from their native place was also working in the nursery. As usual, they closed the nursery on Sunday night and slept inside.
In the early hours, a speeding lorry ploughed through the nursery killing Adibabu and Srinivas on the spot leaving Krishna and Suresh grievously injured. The police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a hospital where their condition is stated to be critical. The lorry driver escaped from the spot immediately after the incident. (NSS)
