Kanpur, April 27: Two persons were today killed and another was injured after their car was hit by a speeding truck near Shivrajpur near here, police said.
The victims identified as Ashutosh alias Guddu Goswami (38) and Tony Goswami (30), both brothers, along with their driver Anil were going to Lucknow from Fatehgarh Dal Mandi when they met with the accident at around 10 AM today, a police spokesperson said.
The intensity of the accident was so huge that the car was badly damaged. The bodies of the victims were removed with the help of a machine and later sent for post mortem, they said.
Police have confiscated the truck and efforts are on to nab the absconding driver, who fled after the incident.
