Two killed, five injured in road accidents in J-K

Srinagar, September 10: Two persons were killed and five others injured in separate road accidents in Kashmir valley today, a police spokesman said.

Mohammad Sultan Ganie, a resident of Pampore, was killed when his car collided with a truck at Karnabal-Samboora, 16 kms from here, on Srinagar-Jammu National highway.

In another incident, a woman identified as Sundri was killed when she was hit by a car near JVC Hospital at Bemina here, the spokesman said.

A child was injured after a cab hit him, outside his house at Bohipora in Kupwara, he said.

He said two persons including a driver were injured when a passenger vehicle hit an electric pole at Chrar-e-Sharief in Budgam district of Central Kashmir.

Another man was injured in an accident at Thura-Ganderbal, 24 kms from here, he said.

A cyclist was injured after being hit by a car near Aali Masjid in interior city, he said.
