Kaushambi: Two persons were killed and 16 others were injured today when a private bus overturned after being hit by a truck in Mahewaghat area here.
Umesh Sonekar (35) and Vidya Devi (50) were killed on the spot, police said.
Sixteen others were injured in the accident. Two of them who suffered serious injuries were referred to an Allahabad hospital, police said.
The bodies have been sent for a post-mortem, they added.
