Guntur: Even as eight MLAs and one MLC belonging to YSRCP defected to the ruling Telugu Desam party, the stage was set for admitting another two YSRCP MLAs.
According to informed sources, YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s once confidant and Jaggampet MLA Jyothula Nehru and Prathipadu MLA Parupula Subba Rao are getting ready to join the TDP bandwagon. The sources said Nehru was upset over Jagan’s decision to appoint Dhone MLA Rajendranath Reddy as PAC chairman. The post was earlier held by Bhooma Nagireddy till he crossed over to the ruling party.
YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy’s parleys on Sunday to stop Nehru from leaving the party ended in vain. On the other hand, Prattipadu MLA Parupula Subba Rao, held a meeting with his followers on Sunday and announced that he would be joining the ruling TDP in the interests of the development of his constituency.
