Two Indians killed in Istanbul nightclub attack: Sushma Swaraj

Istanbul: Two Indians were among those killed in the nightclub attack in Turkey, external affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said on Sunday.

I have a bad news from Turkey. We have lost two Indian nationals in the Istanbul attack. Indian Ambassador is on way to Istanbul,” tweeted External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

The victims are Mr.Abis Rizvi son of former Rajya Sabha MP and Ms.Khushi Shah from Gujarat,” added Sushma.

The attacker in Santa Claus attire triggered bombardment of bullets in Istanbul nightclub whilst New Year celebrations were on peak.

The attack killed at least 39 people including two Indians. Approximately 70 have been injured according to reports.

18-year-old Israeli woman and a Belgian national are also reported to have been victims of the attack.
