Hyderabad, April 07: Two notorious rowdies were nabbed by Task Force sleuths in separate raids on Thursday and lethal weapons seized. In the first catch, South Zone Task Force sleuths nabbed a gangster, Md Anwar alias Annu Ba of Kalapathar who is the member of Khaiser gang of Mallepally. Anwar and his associates committed pick-pocketing on instructions of Khaiser.
“Anwar and his associates share the stolen property with Khaiser and his close aide Ibrahim. Khaiser and Ibrahim arrange bail for the gang members whenever they are caught by police,” additional deputy commissioner of police M Srinivasulu said. Anwar and his accomplices committed several offences and are facing trial in some cases. According to police, Ibrahim asked Anwar and his associates to eliminate Khaiser’s rival, Ashwaq in July last year. Ashwaq, however, came to know about their plans and eliminated Anwar’s gang member, Akbar in September.
Coming to know that Khaiser would also eliminate him, Anwar procured a dagger and button knife and was waiting for an opportunity to kill the former. On information, Task Force sleuths nabbed Anwar at Kamatipura and recovered the weapons. He was handed over to the Kamatipura police for further action.
Srinivasulu said six gangs indulging in unsocial activities were nabbed in the past two weeks as part of a drive against rowdy elements and gangsters. The additional DCP also said unsocial elements involved in criminal activities have been identified and proposals sent to higher-ups for opening history-sheets against them to keep a close watch. “To control activities of gangsters, proposals for externment from city would also be initiated,’’ he said.
Meanwhile, West Zone Task Force sleuths nabbed a history-sheeter of Tappachabutra police, Mohd Mashaiq Ali, and recovered a sword. “Mashaiq Ali has opponents and he got the sword to attack them,’’ Task Force DCP Kamalasan Reddy said.
