Lucknow March 16: Two people were arrested and stolen items belonging to the Indian Army were recovered from them in Khera village of Meerut district today, ADG law and order Brij Lal said.
On a tip-off that some stolen goods of the Army were present in the village, Sardhana police raided a house and recovered seven sealed boxes and a chest buried underground and arrested two persons in this connection, the ADG said.
The manager of a travel agency had filed an FIR in Khudaganj police station of Shahjahanpur district yesterday that the goods of a courier company had been stolen by the driver and conductor of a canter which used to ferry its consignments and the items recovered today were part of it.
They had been sent from Guwahati to be delivered in Delhi, the ADG said.
