Two held for snatching case in Dilsukhnagar area

Hyderabad: LB Nagar CCS sleuths, along with Saroornagar police of Rachakonda Commissionerate, today arrested two criminals at Dilsukhnagar P&T Colony, along with an Autorickshaw and a gold chain which was snatched from a housewife on Sunday.

According to Rachakonda Police, while the victim Chapala Susheela, 58, was sweeping in front of her house in Vishnupuri Colony under Saroornagar plice limits, two unidentified persons came in an Auto and while one person snatched her gold chain from her neck, his accomplice was sitting in the auto and both fled the spot.

On receipt of a complaint, the sleuths of L.B. Nagar CCS, with the help of Saroornagar police verified CC Camera footages and apprehended the accused at P&T Colony and seized the gold chain and the auto. On interrogation, the principal accused identified himself as Syed Abdul Rahaman alias Mujahid, 48, resident of Borgi village under Aurad taluk of Bidar district of Karnataka State and his accomplice identified himself as Mohd Javed, 33, auto driver of Bhavani Nagar, Aman Nagar Colony, Yakatpura.

Police said principal accused Abdul Rahaman was arrested by Hyderabad city police in automobile theft cases and was also involved in a murder case under Kulsumpura PS in 2004. He was involved in six snatching cases, a dacoit case in Janwada of Bidar.
