Two held for ganja smuggling; three absconding

The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone, apprehended two suspects in front of DeepaHospital, Joshiwadi, Shahinayathgunj and seized 40 kg Ganja, a TATA Indica car and two Cell phones from their possession.

The accused were identified as Kimmudu Mahesh, 26, Auto driver, resident of Nurmathi village under Gimaduguda of Visakhapatnam district. Golla Kalyan Babu, 30, teacher, V.D Puram, Vijayawada. Three others Sagar of Hyderabad, Vijay Singh of Mangalhat and Kamaraju of Thangulam village of Visakhapatnam are absconding.

Police said the accused went to Thangulam village and purchased Ganja from one Kamaraju on Tuesday and came to Hyderabad to sell the same to Sagar of Hyderabad and Vijay Singh of Machipura, Mangalhat. Earlier they supplied Ganja to Mangalhat area from Vishakapatnam. The accused persons along with the seized material were handed over to Inspector of Police, ANC, CCS for further investigation.

            The arrest was made under the supervision of Sri N.Koti Reddy, Addl.Dy.Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force by Sri L.Raja Venkat Reddy, Inspector of Police, West Zone Task Force Team with the assistance of SI’s Sri M.Prabhakar Reddy, Sri P.Mallikarjun, Sri V.Kishore and Sri L.Bhaskar Reddy and staff of West Zone team, Commissioner’s Task Force.
