Two held in forgery case at Delhi airport

New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) recently arrested two passengers in a forgery case at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.

The duo, who was trying to board the Air India flight no AI-825, was identified as Bashir Ahmad and Mudassir Ahmad Ganaie from Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama District.

The CISF staff, while going through the security procedures, noticed the two men were standing with a large number of bags, but as they exited the check-in counter, they were without them. On suspicion, they were intercepted and enquired.

On inquiry, they revealed that they had checked in their baggage with the connivance of AISATS, Load Asstt. Nandita Singh and boarding pass was not issued to them.

Immediately, the airline was asked to reconcile the baggage on the said flight who confirmed that no unattended baggage was onboard.

On further inquiry, it was learned that the tickets held by them were also fake. Later, it was found that 10 of their bags had been booked in name of Ali Muzaffar, who was travelling by the said flight.

Both the passengers, along with the erring lady staffer of AI SATS who connived with them, were handed over to the Delhi police for further legal action. (ANI)
