Two persons were arrested in connection with leakage of EAMCET-II paper by Telangana police.
So far, two persons by name Vishnudhar @ Vishnuvardhan Thirumal @ Thirumal Rao, both residents of Hyderabad were arrested today. They contacted students, parents and took about 25 of them to Bangalore where one Rajagopal Reddy arranged practice of questions and answers to them and sent them back, CID police, investigating into the leakage said. However, unconfirmed sources said that seven persons, including main accused Rajgopal were taken into custody. In the investigation so far conducted some brokers and sub-brokers belonging to Hyderabad, AP, Bangalore and other places have been identified.
Giving details of the case, police said It was widely reported in press on July 19 that EAMCET-II –conducted in telangana (Medical) entrance question paper was leaked to certain students, an amount of about 30-40 lakh rupees were collected from them, practice was given to them in unidentified locations with leaked question papers and as a result average students got better ranks, etc TS EAMCET-II-2016 (Medical) entrance examination was held in Telangana State by the J.N.T.U. on July 9 and Hyderabad and results were announced on 13thJuly.
During the course of investigation, suspected students were secured by the C.I.D. and they were thoroughly examined and it was established that TS EAMCET-II-2016 (Medical) question papers (2 sets) were leaked before the date and time of exam.
Investigation also revealed that students appearing for TS EAMCET-II-2016 (Medical) examination from Telangana and AP were taken to camps set up in atleast at 5 cities about 2 to 3 days prior to the TS EAMCET-II-2016 (Medical) exam and were given practice with the leaked copies of 2 question papers consisting of 320 questions with correct answers.
Meanwhile, sources said the CID sleuths have conducted raids in Adilabad and Karimnagar districts and nabbed four and two persons from respected districts. (NSS)
