Hyderabad: The Task Force personnel along with Tappachabutra police nabbed two persons at Tappachabutra old PS ‘T’ Junction today and seized one kilogram “charas” a narcotic substance. They also seized one Honda Activa and two mobile phones from them.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Arshad, 28, a carpenter residing near Ganje Shahi Dargah, Shanker Nagar, Tappachabutra and Mohammed Aleem, 28, also a carpenter residing at Bheeramguda in Patancheru District.
Police said both the accused, natives of Saharanpur in UP, migrated to Hyderabad ten years ago and started working as carpenters and opened furniture shops. As both incurred losses, they started peddling Charas to earn cash money. Mohammed Arshad used to bring Charas from Saharanpur in UP.
Police said today both the accused came to ‘T’ Junction at Tappachabutra Old Police Station to deliver the contraband to needy customers. Meanwhile, on the tip-off, Task Force, Central Zone Team and Tappachabutra police apprehended them along with Charas. (NSS)
