Two held with 22 Kgs of Ganja

On Monday East Zone Task Force Team of Hyderabad, apprehended two persons Gorkati Rakesh (22) an B Pharmacy Student, Resident of Venkatapuram (V), Duggondi (M), Warangal District, Devender Singh @ Bablu (40) (Rowdy Sheeter of Mangalhat PS) an Carpenter, Resident of Jali Hanuman, Dhoolpet of Mangalhat, Hyderabad along with 22 Kilograms of Ganja on the road infront of Rajdhani Travels of Afzalgunj while they were trying to dispose it.

Gorkati Rakesh hails from Warangal Dist and studying B-Pharmacy 2nd year in Sahasra Institute of Pharmaceutical Science at Warangal District. he is facing lot of financial problems, he decided to earn easy money by selling/transporting Ganja with the help of Krishna Rao (Who is involved in transporting the Ganja from Vijayawada to Warangal Dist)

Since last one year Rakesh is involved n transporting Ganja illegally to Hyderabad and earning a commission of Rs.2000 per each trip. He supplies the Ganja to his known customers namely as Devender Singh @ Bablu and Sanju of Mangalhat. Devender Singh and Sanju make the Ganja into small pockets of 10 grams each and sell to the needy people.

About three days back i.e. on Sept 26, Devender Singh @ Bablu contacted him over the phone and gave order for 7 Kgs of Ganja to supply/transport him for business purpose while Sanju (40) a Businessman R/o Mangalhat, Hyderabad also contacted with him over the phone and gave order for 15 Kgs of Ganja.

On Monday Krishna Rao brought two Rexine bags containing Ganja weighing about 22 Kgs, and handed over to Rakesh at Warangal Bus stop. After that he boarded RTC bus from Hanumakonda Bus stop of Warangal Dist along with two ganja bags and arrived at Afzalgunj Bus stand and he handed over one Ganja bag to Devender Singh @ Bablu and kept the other luggage bag containing with Ganja with him to deliver it to Sanju. In the meantime police came and apprehended both of them and seized bags containing Ganja from them. The accused Sanju and Krishna Rao are yet to be arrested.

The arrested accused along with Seized property were handed over to Afzalgunj police station for taking further action.

The case was investigated by Ch Sreedhar Inspector East Zone Task Force, Hyderabad along with sub inspectors A.Ravi Kumar, A.Sudhakar, S.Shekar Reddy and staff under the supervision of N.Koti Reddy,Additional DCP Task Force, Hyderabad. (INN)
