Two gangs arrested, lethal weapons seized

Hyderabad, February 03: Six members of two rowdy gangs, which joined hands to eliminate two of their rivals, were today nabbed and lethal weapons including four daggers and two swords apart from four kilo ganja and mobile phones were recovered from them.

The gangs were handed over to Asif Nagar police.

Task Force sleuths arrested the members of Lalla gang and Abid gang who have planned to eliminate their rivals, Rupesh Kumar and Feroze respectively.

According to police, Lalla gang is headed by Thakur Ramesh Kumar alias Sunny, a history-sheeter of Mangalhat police and his associates include K Ramesh Kumar, a history-sheeter of Shahinayathgunj police and Yogesh Sharma.

Task Force DCP V B Kamalasan Reddy said Ramesh Kumar attacked a close associate of Rupesh Kumar, a history-sheeter of Kulsumpura police, in March 2006. Since then, the two gangs have been at loggerheads making vain attempts to kill each other.

Abid gang is led by Abid Bin Khaled, a history-sheeter of Mangalhat police and his associates are Mohd Imtiyaz, also a history-sheeter of Mangalhat police and S Umakanth Patil. Abid’s gang has rivalry with Feroze and some members of both groups were killed in gang wars.

Abid decided to eliminate Feroze and sought the help of Ramesh who in turn asked Abid’s held to kill Rupesh.
