Hyderabad, November 17: The Health and Sanitation wing of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) carried out surprise inspections on Tuesday in eateries at Balkampet and Ameerpet.
They sealed two eating establishments found to be posing danger to public health with unhygienic conditions.
The sealed establishments are M/s Gold Bawarchi Restaurant, Balkampet road and M/s Sarovar Restaurant and Bar, Balkampet main road, SR Nagar. M/s Anu Restaurant & Bar, Ameerpet was prosecuted for violating HMC Bye-Laws for Regulation of Eating Houses (or) Hotels, 1973.
Inspections were carried out by teams consisting of assistant medical officers of health and food inspectors along with related staff.
The GHMC has asked eating establishments to maintain their kitchen and premises in hygienic condition. They should provide wholesome drinking water and serve freshly prepared food to customers. Periodic inspections of eateries will be carried out where and when necessary, according to officials.
