Two Die in Sharjah Road Crash

Sharjah, September 16: Two persons died after their cars collided, rolled several times and caught fire in a crash in Industrial Area 15 on Monday night, Sharjah
Police said.

Lt-Col Arif Al Shamsi, head of the Traffic and Accidents Section, said the crash which held up traffic for nearly three hours happened due to speeding. A 24-year-old Jordanian driving a four-wheel-drive at high speed tried to pass a heavy vehicle.

The second vehicle, a Cadillac driven by a 17-year-old national without a licence, was coming from the opposite direction. They collided and the Cadillac caught fire burning its
driver to death. The four-wheel-drive rolled over several times killing its driver instantly.
