The sudden untimely rains and thunderbolts are causing havoc in Prakasham district.
On Monday two persons were struck by lightning and got killed. While one person was killed in Kolalapudi under Marturu mandal, another woman was killed in Krishnarajupalle of Korisapadu mandal. There were widespread rains causing loss to standing crops in several areas of the district.
Gales with velocity of 100 kmph hit Mappavaram and Budavada under Vanguluru mandal. The winds uprooted electric polls and trees. Traffic to Muppavaram, Budavada and Inkollu villages was affected.
