Jodhpur, January 18: Two persons today died after allegedly consuming spurious country-made liquor here, police said.
Ajay (35) and Shesh Mal (45) had consumed the liquor last night and came to their houses and slept, they said, adding, in the morning, both of them complained of some uneasiness.
This afternoon, their condition worsened and both of them passed away by evening.
Both the victims belonged to the ‘Gadia Lohar’ tribe, they said.
Commissioner of Police (Jodhpur), Bhupendra Kumar Dak said that though we have not yet studied the report of the postmortem in detail, the report has mentioned excessive drinking and pneumonia as the cause of death.
Another person had reportedly died of the same reason yesterday.
Madan Lal had consumed the liquor and breathed his last on Monday.
