Hyderabad: Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Saturday suspended two police constables for their alleged misconduct on the social media. Pankaj Kumar of Nampally police station allegedly posted vulgar content in a police WhatsApp group defaming the Jamia students.
The police constable Pankaj who is the member of police WhatsApp group under the title “Amberpet PTC” has reacted over a post pertaining to the participation of two Jamia Islamia women students Ladeeda Farzana and Aysha Renna in a public meeting against CAA and NRC at AIMIM party Headquarters on Saturday. He allegedly used highly objectionable language against them.
In the recent clashes between the students and police at Jamia Milia at Delhi, two students Ladeeda Farzana and Aysha Renna resisted the police action in the university premises. Later the duo had become poster girls for CAA and NRC protests across India.

The constable’s post had become viral in social media resulting in filing of a police complaint against him Nampally police station. As the report of misconduct reached Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar he immediately suspended the Nampally police constable Pankaj.

Another police constable Mohammed attached to Afzalgunj police station who is also the member of the Amberpet PTC whatsapp group was also placed under suspension after he allegedly reacted to fellow police constable Pankaj Kumar post and reportedly shared the screenshots of the vulgar post.
