Hyderabad, February 09: Two kids, aged four and 10, were killed in separate road accidents in the city while three others were killed in a collision between two motorcycles in the neighbouring Rangareddy district today.
In the first incident, a class VI student of St Ann’s school at Bollarum, was killed after the moped on which she was pillion-riding was hit by a RTC bus at Bollarum. The 10-year-old girl, Kusuma Sahithi, was the daughter of CRN Reddy and Shailaja.
Bollarum police said Shailaja works as a teacher in the school in which her daughter is studying.
Everyday, the mother and daughter go to school on Shailaja’s moped. “Today around 8.45 a.m, the duo were on their way to school and as they reached Bollarum, a RTC bus hit their vehicle from behind,’’ Bollarum police said.
Shailaja lost control over the vehicle and the duo fell on the ground resulting in severe injuries to Sahithi. She was shifted to a nearby hospital where she died around 11 a.m while undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, a four-year boy was knocked down by an ambassador car at Chilkalguda today.
The victim, H Madesh (4), was a resident of Uppuguda. Madesh came to his grandmother’s house at Chilkalguda four days to attend a family function. Today afternoon, Madesh was playing near the house when an ambassador car passing on the road knocked him. Madesh was shifted to a nearby hospital but as his condition turned serious, he was shifted to the Gandhi hospital where he died.
In another mishap in the neighbouring Ranga Reddy district, three persons were killed and two others suffered injuries in a head-on collision between two bikes under the Yalal police limits.
