Two caught in e-rickshaw driver’s murder case

New Delhi: Two including a minor have got arrested by Delhi police on Wednesday in connection with the murder of the e-rickshaw driver Ravinder Kumar, who had objected to two men urinating outside the GTB Nagar Metro Station last week in New Delhi.

The accused Shekhar Kapasia, who is pursuing B.Com (Hons) from Aurobindo College in Malviya Nagar and a 19-year-old, a political science student of School of Open Learning, were caught when the police scanned CCTV camera footage of the incident outside a liquor shop near the metro station and north campus.

The killing was condemned by PM Modi and he had sanctioned a sum of Rs 1 lac from the Prime Minister relief fund to the family of the deceased, reported scroll.in.

Ravinder on Saturday evening was beaten to death by 15 men after he had objected to two men from urinating in public outside GTB Nagar Metro station.

CBI also came forward for the investigation yesterday.
