Two cat burglars nabbed

Sleuths of Bowenpally Police Station nabbed two notorious young house burglars Mohd. Khaleel alias Shareef, (CDC of Nallakunta P.S) and Mohd. Sarwar alias Khaja on Monday and recovered stolen gold ornaments weighing about 56 tolas and silver articles all worth Rs 16 lakhs.

Hyderabad West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Stephen Raveendra, in a pressnote has stated that there were a series of day/night house burglaries under the limits of Bowenpally and bordering Police Stations of Cyberabad from November last year making the police restless. The crime staff of Bowenpally Police Station under the supervision of K. Sathaiah, Inspector of Police, made tangible efforts round the clock and finally succeeded in nabbing the habitual house burglar Mohd. Khaleel alias Shareef, 24, (CDC of Nallakunta P.S) r/o Anjaiahnagar, Nallakunta, and his associate Mohd. Sarwar alias Khaja, 21, r/o Ramireddynagar, Uppal on Friday.

The DCP stated that Khaleel went to jail about 15 times and one NBW was also pending at LB Nagar. He was arrested by Nallakunta, Narayanaguda, Chilkalguda, Langarhouz, Alwal, Bowenpally and other Police Stations. Finally, he went to jail in December last and was released in February this year.

After release from the jail, he alone committed house burglaries and also in association of Mohd. Sarwar. On interrogation, they confessed that they were involved in eight cases — including two cases under Bowenpally Police Station, two cases under Kushaiguda Police Station, four cases under Alwal Police Station and one case under Nacharam Police Station of Cyberabad.

The cases are being investigated by K. Sathaiah, Addl Inspector of Police, Bowenpally P.S. under the supervision of I.T.V.S. Suryanarayana, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Begumpet Division. (NSS)
