The Cyberabad Police on Friday arrested two employees — V Manoj Kumar and A Satyanarayana Raju — of Royal Express Cargo Pvt Ltd at Begumpet and recovered 4.8 kg of gold ornaments, worth Rs 1.20 crore, which they allegedly stole from Shamshabad airport last month.
According to police, on February 7, a consignment of 132 parcels came by a private airlines from Kolkata. Manoj Kumar, who used to look after the cargo bookings, concealed one parcel of gold ornaments and jewels and entered in the cargo register that he received only 131 parcels. Later, he and his accomplice A Satyanarayana Raju took the parcel away and shared the booty.
Following a complaint, the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police booked and took up investigation. The cops nabbed the duo and recovered the entire stolen property from them. (NSS)
