New Delhi, October 25: Two brothers were found dead at their residence in Bawana area of the national capital, police said today.
Police suspected that both the brothers — Dhananjay (22) and Akshay (25)– were killed by their room mate Sanjoy who was staying with them at their sector 8 residence in Bawana industrial area.
Last night, both the brothers had an argument following which their room mate Sanjay asked them to go outside the house.
When the duo went out, Sanjay locked himself inside the house and apparently threatened to throw acid on them if they kept fighting.
“The brothers persisted and retorted that they would do anything they pleased in the house. After a while Sanjay opened the door and threw acid at them,” a senior police official said.
He said that after the brothers raised alarm, their neighbours called the police. The brothers were rushed to Sanjay Gandhi hospital where they were declared brought dead.
Police said it is suspected that the acid went inside the victims’ mouths, causing their deaths. Police is waiting for the post mortem reports to ascertain the cause of the deaths.
A case of murder has been registered against Sanjay who is absconding.
